    Hey.

Warning - This is what we have found out from our logs so far. This may be subject to change at a later date.

So as you know around 8AM BST this morning Gigabyte crashed with a unusual bug.

Everything had been changed. From what we had investigated it turns out that ID's for the blocks and items had shifted round after an issue with one of our mods that we had applied a custom edit to disabled during the forge and sponge load-up process.

During the BETA stages of the server we edited a mod that was open source to prevent a possible memory leak and lag spike. This involved removing one of the items out of the mod entirely due to compatibility issues when compiling to Forge.

We believe that this mixed in with the possibility that one of the core mods was accidentally deleted via our admin panel caused the server to go into a crash loop and strangely misplace all of the item ID's.

What can we do to prevent this?

We have gone back to the original official version of the mod and released a server side patch rather than a mod patch to the lag issue we found.

We are now starting to take a back up of the Gigabyte world every 6 hours, on the off chance we didn't find the cause and it happens again we will be able to revert to a backup that rolled back less time, preventing you all from losing your goodies as quickly!

We are sorry to tell you this and we will do our best from making it happen again.
    Kind Regards,
