You will agree that some players somehow don't find the novice thread and just make a thread asking for novice. I don't actually know what it says in chat, but I do know that it doesn't say my suggestion. My suggestion is just to add a link to the novice thread so that when a player registers, it says something like: "To achieve novice, you must: - have played for at least 5 hrs - log into the forums and comment on this thread: [insert link here]" I have told a staff member about this already, but I am not sure if they remembered about it.
We were meant to be having a redesign of the forums by now, we had hired a web dev but it looks like it has fallen through. I will contact him now and see if I can get any updates.
