Hello! I am here to tell you about my not-so-new idea: Thread Archiving So this is the main point... If a thread has not received an activity-e.g. A post, an edit, a vote etc- it should be moved to an 'Archive' section where it either will stay and be locked unless a staff moves it back to the original location or be deleted after a month or two. @BlueFusion12 Thanks a lot
This destroys the idea of having forum sections. A forum is more than just "what is happening now, " it is a source of information on the community as a whole including the past. That's why we don't delete things very often. Moving older threads to a archival section makes sense for the "now" but would prevent easy access to older information.
Well maybe I should rephrase and say that 'threads which have not received activity in the past month or two should be locked' instead which will still give players access to old information but not for them to comment on unnecessarily.
Yes it is. Already solved. By that, I mean the poster already got a response from a high ranked staff member. There is no use for anyone to post on the thread anymore.
Whatever... Staff know when to lock a thread and when not to, we don't need to be told by people for a thread to be locked, We will lock it if we really need to
If it's not a big deal, how come you disagree on this: So if you really think it's not a big deal, don't reply and disagree to my post. I know you're making excuses. Admit your faults, please.
I don't think it is necessary to have locked immediately, since the original poster of the thread may give a response to the community.
I can disagree to what ever the heck I want to disagree with, Its my opinion. Im not making excuses either.. Its just annoying for someone to go around posts to say just to lock it, We lock it if necessary....
@xImaginable You must stop with this constant unnecessary posting. Don't try to play smart with me here. You've turned a genuine post that didn't need locking... Next time try to think about the consequences before you post something.
