We never get told when things are changed. For example, there was no way of knowing that /chairs got added a while ago, and then got removed again. Recently, new commands have been added, and there is no way to see what they are or find them if you forgot them, because they are also not listed in /help.
This depends on how much effort it is for Blue to do. He's constantly doing things on the server so it may be a lot of effort to maintain update threads as well. I agree that it would make things easier for players and staff though. One thing to note is that we did have something like this at one point for 2.0 survival, it just fell through. That makes me skeptical that it's something that would be added again.
I can do patch notes. I'll start doing them soon. I have an update thread in the works anyways, since I'm working on something that will be ready within the next few days.
