» Mod/Plugin Name: None » Download Link: None » Why should it be added?: When you see ranks on creative or modded, some (if not all, I haven't played modded), have the dark gray brackets to them. I have an idea which is to change the color of some of these rank names to be brighter or stay as they are, and have their brackets as a lighter/darker alternative to the rank's color. So for example: User can stay as it is, Novice could become: &9[&1Novice&9] Builder could become: &c[&4Builder&c] Designer could become &5[&dDesigner&5] (example here (including elite): https://imgur.com/a/BYiIH ) Architect could become: &a[&2Architect&a] Artisan could become: &e[&6Artisan&e] Master could become: &3[&bMaster&3] (similarly to Elite, you can also do &9 instead of &3) VIP could become: &6[&eVIP&6] MVP could become: &2[&aMVP&2] Elite could become: &3[&bElite&3] Titan could become &d[&5Titan&5] and finally: MEGA could become &f[(MEGA color [in bold])&f] It'd make chat look more vibrant and colorful unlike having just gray and a single color.
The idea of "colorful ranks" is a pretty neat idea, and I think it would look cool. After a while though, it would just prove to be a strain to the normal human eye. Looking at the way ranks at AJGaming are bracketed and colored, it is clear that the owners want a unified experienced, and they of course don't want chat looking like a colorful mess. Then again, I have no real say on this for I am no real staff member, but this is my opinion.
Personally, I like the consistency of having the brackets the same, for two reasons: 1. I think having every character in the chat a different colour would get messy real fast. 2. The brackets are supposed to be more of a containment, not another part of the tag, if you know what I mean.
Yeah, like what Spider said, the brackets are more of a containment than a tag. I like the idea, but it would hurt my eyes owo
