The ranks have a high(ish) cost for a reason. Running a server, I imagine, takes a huge amount of time and money, especially now that Blue's doing it by himself.

just because you can't get a rank doesn't mean it's the end of the world, I'm fine with not having one. Plus, "after 5-6 years" lol

It's not gonna be exactly 10 of any country's currency. I could log on with japanese VPN and pay 50 yen (42 cents) for Mega :P

It'll properly be converted so then there isn't any big loopholes.
