There is a major flaw in the server! I was told by an admin that it doesn't matter what someone's name is on here. A player had a very innapropriate name and the admin just stood by and watched as he told us all he had the right to discriminate an entire race since one of his parents was that race. I myself was offended but I know many people that were offended by the name, one of which left the server, NOT because it was so offensive, but because the server actually wouldn't do anything about it. This rule is a small rule that DOESN'T hurt anybody. The rule would be, if your name is innapropriate, you get banned. ALTHOUGH, you can be unbanned by posting on the fourms that you have changed your name. A great example of a name would be this, there was a player going by the name of niggeraids. This name brigs up two very heated subjects, the word nigger, and the disease aids. Don't get me wrong... i have seen a ton of other names that were offensive, this one is just the example I am using. Most players aren't offended by this, because most players aren't black, have aids, or aren't black and have aids. The thing is, there isn't a need for offensive names! The only reason players name themselves these things is to make others mad or offended. So, why is the player in chat that says "niggers and aids" worse than the person who PERMINENTLY has "Niggeraids" as their name? They have the same goal in mind, offend the players in the chat. They don't even have to pay attention to what they are typing, because whenever they talk, no matter what they talk about, you will always see the word "niggeraids". We don't play minecraft to be discriminated, we play it to have fun! So, please help everyone get away from this discrimination and make this a rule!
I see what you're trying to say, but the majority of the players don't care. I personally don't think this is a major offense and shouldn't be bannable. There are much worse things that can happen. If they are being racist in chat other than just their name, then that is a different story.
Also, for the poll I'd choose not to ban them because it isn't a big issue. I do care about others feelings, not banning them doesn't mean I don't care about others.

First off, most players don't care about most rules. For example, if i threaten most players, they will just laugh in my face. Next, if you are saying the majority of players don't care about names be racist, then not many people should care about me being racist in chat. Also, I agree that being racist in chat and in names is different.. being racist in chat happens only when he is trying to be racist. being racist with your name happens when he is trying to be racist and when he isn't. Also, by saying that there are much worse things that can happen, much worse things can happen than every bad thing that has happened in your life, doesn't mean that they should be allowed. Two things, first off by saying that this isn't a big issue, why is being racist when you WANT to be racist (being racist in chat) worse than being racist at all time? (being racist in your name) Also, if you name yourself "Niggeraids", then you are trying to hurt other people's feelings, and therefore you don't care about their feelings.
whether we should ban somebody for their name or not in my opinion shouldnt happen. if someone forced you to change ur name, how would u feel? because according to you i probably have to change my name because it has devil in it. however if the person is racist in chat, then they should be muted/banned
First of all, with the new name change, players can change their name in a month so it can always be changed in a month. Second there is no reason to get offended because it is just a username. That person is not calling you a Ni**** or saying you have Aids. The only reason people would be offended would be because you are making it a bigger issue than it is. If you dont like it, just do /Chat ignore <Username> or whatever that command is. This way you don't have to see the name and cause a big controversial issue. If people change their names on purpose to hurt a specific person's feelings then yes, ban them until they change their name, but unless they are offending a particular individual, no. Example: The_Kadrek_Is_A_Dick - Ban them since this name is deliberately made to target an individual. Pornographics - Not targeting an individual, don't punish. Just my opinion
