Just don't talk about politics at all. It's a major no-no along side religion, as it can spark up arguments. That's the reason for him to mute you so hastily. And you were being inappropriate before the mute, as I was there. Hopefully you've learned your lesson.
Hey guys you know what's weird? He mutes me and his reason was "nope" so how can that be a reason of being "innapropriate" he could've just said that I screenshotted where I got kicked and also before. I lived through 9/11. I was in kindergarten and I remember my school being locked down because I lived so close DC. I remember my mom being worried about my dad who was in DC that day. I saw the destruction and sadness it brought. So many people were affected by it, and for you to make a joke by saying that our president "did 9/11" is incredibly insensitive. It was one of the worst days in American history.
