Ok, I'm going to keep this suggestion short and simple: Why on earth does the Novice Ranks and Information thread get put in the Recent Updates section of the forum? It just clogs this section, and we don't see all the new threads people are creating.
But isn't the point of the thread to get them to know how to use the forums? Having the thread in a Forum Update section makes it super easy to find, and overall, just defeats the purpose. Think about it this way: The novice thread is meant to teach people how to use the forums. If I am a new player, and click the novice thread in the Forum Update section to get novice, I will still have no idea how to navigate the forum page.
