For a couple months now, The survival server has been dead and I don't stay on because no one else gets on. Is there something that we can do on survival to make it more interesting to new players so that it isn't dead? I am not sure what exactly we could do but it you have any ideas leave them here.
The survival and skyblock is really very dead , I know that w/e is attractive. What if you play survival for [some] hrs you can get [some] cubits automatically?
Yeah no one really goes on there much... I'm gonna try to think up of what the server lacks. It's cool as it is but it lacks something.
lol i like it, but i get too atracted to the world edit on the creative like feuerphoinx said and i rarely get on survival xD
We've actually been trying to figure this out for a while so if you guys want to help out that's no problem.
how about a guild system? or a legit town? kinda like what mgwolfy built past the giant wall at spawn, but more functional. maybe buy plots for it or something? back to the guild system, ive been really thinking lately about building one, but i dont know how many people would be using it. sorta like somewhere you can go to place a "quest book" for someone else to pick it up and do whatever it is the book says to do, and be rewarded with credits or even mc. ill set up a poll eventually, but ive posted like three threads just today, so ill try no to flood the general discussions
Minecraft has changed. Survival, being the original game style for Minecraft, has become old and boring for many of the new people in the Minecraft community. I knew I would need to make drastic changes to Survival in order to attempt to bring about a desire to play it again. That seems to have failed... I am not removing survival, and I will continue to try and make it better. I have a few ideas for adding mod-like features into survival (without actual mods), but I have transitioned into working on Minigames, which has been put off for too long. Until I am not a one-person dev team (which I'm not sure will ever change), time must be balanced. That said, if anyone here has some genius ideas for Survival, please let them be known. Some people are considering another world reset, which is not a bad idea. However, I will not reset the world without having similarly significant changes to the MC2 game system.
Actually, I invited some of my friends on, who have never played on megacraft before, and they all Said that it could be a pretty popular server,(for survival) but it's missing something, I just don't really know what it is, also they said they didn't like how it cost to teleport, and I kind of agree, or at least that it should be reduced. It's like this, I built away from spawn, they wanted to play, we had to walk over to my house which took a while, because I couldn't afford the teleport (and they obviously couldn't) Just a suggestion, but otherwise I think Mega 2.0 survival is great!
Another reason why I think teleports should be free: I realize the point of them costing cubits is to keep inflation down (I think?) Still, multiplayer is multiplayer, having it cost to tp, seems to discourage team ups on builds and etc. Which makes less community interaction, which makes it seem more like singleplayer. I don't know just my opinion.
People seem to think that TPing is the funnest way because they just want to build with others or team up with them. I disagree (with your opinion using my own opinion), because I play Minecraft to explore and have a fun adventure. I like walking/running/riding to where they are, so I can see the terrain, people's builds, and the landscape along the way. Some people just want to build with their friends, I get that. That's just my 2 cents.
Costs for tp isn't what people want....It makes it too hard to get from place to place. Vanilla servers use nether hubs. I don't know of a server where someone walks 2k blocks instead of doing it instantly with tp or by simply entering the nether, walking about 100-200 blocks and then exiting again, ending up over 2k blocks from your start point.
You have that much money??? Hey, hoggy you know if you do this command /pay pie247365 9999 then you get 1000000 cubits
You can't protect anything in the Nether, can you? This could be a problem when a new player joins and has bad intentions. Oh, and pie247365 stop double posting, it's seriously annoying me because of the alerts.
